MM6 Maison Margiela’s Fall 2025 offering is all about unveiling the inner workings of fashion while staying true to a practical, ever-expanding wardrobe ethos. The brand’s collective design team continues to explore construction and personal interpretation—two ideas that have defined MM6’s aesthetic for years. This time, they toy with extremes, playing with proportions by enlarging key silhouettes or collapsing them into snug forms that hint at the maker’s hand.

Familiar garments take center stage—think polished coats, slender column dresses, and straightforward polos. Some are re-engineered with extra panels at the back to create dramatic contouring, while others are shrunken until the seams crinkle and lining peeks through. Removable shoulder structures offer yet another perspective, turning seemingly ordinary pieces into angular statements. The color palette skews neutral with browns, grays, and black, interrupted by an occasional jolt of red or turquoise.

These contrasts continue in the materials: crisp cottons, sturdy wools, and sleek leather that speak to the label’s streamlined, function-first approach. For accessories, MM6 has taken classic shapes and reinterpreted them. Square-toe boots sit next to heels paired with trompe l’oeil stockings. Glossy bags come with snap handles, and watches minus their faces double as bracelets. Long gloves, created in partnership with longtime collaborator Agnelle, add a final note of intensity.

Following its spotlight-grabbing capsule with Salomon last year, the house remains focused on clothes that can be worn in multiple ways, inviting you to decide how far you’ll push each piece. That freedom—part experimentation, part practicality—feels quintessentially now.
