Giorgio Armani’s style flows in a perpetual evolution, forever retaining a sense of linearity, the preciousness of subtlety, a soft precision that enhances femininity and personality. This season is rich in gentle, romantic touches: dabs of watery hues, greens with turquoise shimmers, pale purples and soft pinks, accents of ruffles running down the collar of shirts, the silhouette of small boxy coats, the cuffs of sweaters.
The collection moves in an ethereal, nocturnal atmosphere and, even in broad daylight, brings the silky glow of velvet, the sparkle of check prints styled with crystals and abstract motifs in the form of astral inflorescences. Silhouettes are liquid, elongated, enveloping. The new jackets and coats with raglan sleeves define the waistline; blazers are lengthened, cabans have comfortable volumes, trousers soar in wing-like profiles; long dresses become halos of pure light.
The male-female contrast is a dialogue between night and day, with blacks mixed with blues, luminous flashes, velvet bows. The flat shoes and the bags are a unifying feature, with their simple, geometric design.
