Stella McCartney’s Fall/Winter 2025 show dives right into a fluid mix of business polish and late-night freedom. Models walked through a fictional STELLA CORP workspace—an imagined hub for eco-material innovation—displaying a collection that underscores the brand’s dedication to cruelty-free luxury. Skirt suits, sculpted dresses, and organic cotton chaps spoke to a woman who shifts between professional ambition and after-work self-expression, all the while championing social causes and ethical sourcing.

The house’s familiar codes were on display with suiting that balanced sharp structure and relaxed draping, echoing Stella’s early training from Central Saint Martins to her Savile Row heritage. Shades ranged from hushed earth tones to a flash of lipstick red, accented with lead-free crystal and metal details. Knitwear varied from neatly tailored versions of menswear basics to plush, 3D looped textures. Outerwear followed suit with generous silhouettes and tailored lines, reflecting Stella’s ongoing interest in blending power shapes with a softer edge.
Materials stayed in focus: instead of python or ostrich leather, the collection introduced plant-based alternatives like a mycelium-derived fabric and an innovative vegan snakeskin motif. Sequined minis appeared with Sequinova—a plant-based sequin technique—and recycled glass beading, proving that sustainability can still carry a provocative edge. Accessories followed the same ethos. The reworked Ryder tote, sized for a laptop, arrived in vegan variations, and the Falabella returned with new silhouettes, from puffy patent to crushed velvet finishes. Footwear included a square-toed family featuring a sleek loafer and a daring heel, all free from animal leather.

A collaboration with adidas also took the spotlight: the Rasant unisex trainer came back in updated shades and recycled materials, proving athletic staples can align with a luxurious narrative. It’s a reminder that Stella McCartney continues to evolve while staying true to the brand’s core principles—never compromising on ethics or style. Expect the Fall/Winter 2025 line to drop in Stella McCartney boutiques, online, and select retailers starting August 2025.
