Bottega Veneta has teamed up with Italian lighting legend Flos to bring a special edition of Gino Sarfatti’s Model 600 table lamp into the present day. Originally designed in 1966, the same year Bottega Veneta was founded, the lamp is a testament to the innovation and understated elegance that both brands represent.
Gino Sarfatti, born in Venice in 1912, is an icon of Italian lighting design, known for his revolutionary approach to materials, form, and technology. His Milan-based company Arteluce, which later became part of Flos, produced a prolific body of work—with the Model 600 standing out as a radical reinterpretation of what a table lamp could be.
Designed with a flexible lead shot base wrapped in smooth leather, the Model 600 was about breaking convention. It introduced a malleability that echoed Bottega Veneta’s early leather goods, blending function with form to create something entirely new. Now, with Flos and Bottega Veneta’s reinterpretation, that same spirit of innovation continues.
The updated Model 600 features Bottega Veneta’s signature Intrecciato leather weave, bringing a new texture and craft to Sarfatti’s original vision. It’s fitted with modern LED technology, but retains the shape of the classic light bulb—a perfect balance of heritage and forward-thinking design.
Available in a range of colorways, including black, grey, red, emerald, and that unmistakable Bottega Veneta green, the lamp offers a contemporary twist on a mid-century classic. Suitable for both floor and table use, the Model 600 provides soft, adjustable lighting—an embodiment of cool, functional luxury.
