This January, Levi’s and UNDERCOVER are teaming up again, celebrating 35 years of Jun Takahashi’s boundary-pushing label with a collection that merges UNDERCOVER’s distinct aesthetic with Levi’s iconic design heritage. Known for its fusion of streetwear, high fashion, and subversive design, UNDERCOVER consistently redefines style, and this collaboration brings together archival influences with timeless denim craftsmanship.
The Levi’s x UNDERCOVER collection features nine meticulously designed pieces that offer a creative spin on classics. Highlights include reimagined Trucker Jackets, like the Pinnacle Type II styles with detachable zippers on sleeves, collars, and seams—allowing for a mix-and-match approach reminiscent of UNDERCOVER’s “Exchange” program from Fall/Winter 1998. Crafted in indigo selvedge denim and black corduroy, these jackets are finished with co-branded details, nodding to both brands’ shared commitment to authenticity.
Other standouts include the Type I Trucker Jacket, showcasing black-and-white denim embroidered with zigzag patterns pulled from UNDERCOVER’s 2003 archives, and the Type III Trucker Jacket, which explores yin-yang symbolism with dual “light” and “darkness” chest embroidery and layered graphics on the back.
Denim remains at the core of the collection, with 501 Jeans and Baggy Jeans designed to complement the jackets. The 501s keep their classic shape while integrating zigzag embroidery along the seams and co-branded patches, while the Baggy Jeans take a looser fit, featuring screen-printed and embroidered motifs.
The lineup is rounded out by three graphic T-shirts in cotton jersey—one long-sleeve and two short-sleeve options—carrying over the collection’s bold visual language with a mix of printed and embroidered details.
Adding to the collaboration’s cool factor, Flea, bassist of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, stars in the campaign. Shot by his daughter Clara Balzary at his Malibu home, Flea brings an unfiltered energy and individuality that mirrors the ethos of Levi’s x UNDERCOVER.
The collection drops worldwide on January 18 and will be available on Levi.com, the Levi’s App, select Levi’s stores, undercoverism.com, and UNDERCOVER stores.
