Willy Chavarria swaps agency lists for street energy, staging an open casting at 9 Rue Cadet on June 20.

Willy Chavarria announced an open casting for his Spring/Summer 2026 runway in Paris, inviting unrepresented models to apply.
Anyone who meets two basic criteria—over 5 ft 10 in and unattached to an agency—can try out. The call is open to every gender. That height threshold may rule out roughly half of Paris, where the average stands at 5 ft 9.5 in, but it keeps the playing field honest: confidence first, résumés later.
Hopefuls should head to 9 Rue Cadet, 75009, Paris, on June 20 between noon and 7 p.m. There, Chavarria’s team will decide who earns a place on the SS26 runway.
Street casting is central to Chavarria’s practice. Even before last season’s star-studded autumn/winter 2025 show, he often picked models hours before curtain time. This is the first occasion, though, where would-be walkers can show up at a fixed address to prove themselves.
The chosen cast will step onto the catwalk on June 27 during Paris Fashion Week. For an industry that still leans on agency rosters, Chavarria’s open door promises a rare shot at the spotlight—and a reminder that great fashion moments can start on the street.
