Faux leather workwear has been trending, but Carhartt—the stalwart of utilitarian fashion—had been notably absent from the conversation. Not anymore.
Carhartt WIP, the brand’s streetwear-oriented line, just dropped a faux leather version of its iconic Detroit Jacket, paired with matching single-knee carpenter pants. And if their latest lookbook is any indication, leather shorts and chore coats are on the horizon.
In a sleek twist, the usual square woven label is swapped out for an all-black faux leather patch, giving the pieces a minimalist, upscale feel. The pricing lands at $265 for the pants and $388 for the jacket.
