Balmain Goes Rouge For Valentine’s Day

Balmain unveils a fresh scent that blends a touch of fruit, floral whispers, and warm woods. Called “Rouge” Eau de Parfum, it joins the Les Éternels de Balmain lineup, which made its debut last year and nods to the brand’s storied looks from the late 1940s to the 1970s. Timed for a Valentine’s Day launch, “Rouge” captures the fashion house’s theatrical spirit with an air of after-dark intrigue.

“‘Rouge’ draws inspiration from Pierre Balmain and Olivier Rousteing’s deep connection to the allure of stardom and success. It is reminiscent of magic hour when the sky is not even the limit,” the brand said in a press statement. “As soon as the sun sets, sensual lily, exotic morae ciliate and fruity apricot-like osmanthus conspire to let their supple nectar overflow. The exhilarating experience reaches its culmination when warm and radiant Georgywood blows a final kiss to ylang-ylang in the night sky.”

Priced at $230 USD, the fragrance is now on Balmain’s site, geared toward those looking to mark the holiday or simply indulge. Under Olivier Rousteing’s creative direction, the house continues to push boundaries in fashion and beauty, with industry watchers buzzing about an extended collection in collaboration with Estée Lauder on the horizon.
