Miu Miu brings its multidisciplinary project Tales & Tellers to New York for its second iteration, following its debut at the Palais d’Iéna in Paris during Art Basel 2024. Envisioned by Miuccia Prada, conceived by artist Goshka Macuga, and convened by Elvira Dyangani Ose, director of MACBA, the installation will be open to the public on May 10 and 11, 2025, at the Terminal Warehouse in Manhattan, with a private preview on May 9. This immersive experience reimagines the brand’s Women’s Tales film series and runway interventions from Spring/Summer 2022 through Spring/Summer 2025, transforming them into a layered exploration of femininity through performance, video, and installation.

The New York edition shifts the atmosphere from the civic openness of Paris to a more enigmatic, nocturnal tone, reflecting the surreal undercurrents of the city’s streets. Within the Terminal Warehouse, 36 performances—each drawn from a character in the Women’s Tales films or runway presentations—are reinterpreted by actors in collaboration with theater and opera director Fabio Cherstich. These performances are accompanied by video projections of the original works, creating a dialogue between past and present, fiction and reality.

By bringing Tales & Tellers to New York, Miu Miu continues its exploration of the evolving narratives of womanhood and the spaces they inhabit. The project ultimately invites audiences to engage with the multifaceted stories that define contemporary femininity.
