Y-3 Releases a Limited-Edition Vinyl of Its FW25 Score

On Monday morning, Y-3 pressed its Fall/Winter 2025 Presentation Score into wax, dropping 333 hand-stamped copies of the Solitary Dancer soundtrack Y-3002 on Bandcamp. The run vanished within hours, but a digital version remains up for $12.

The joint venture between adidas and Yohji Yamamoto has a history of giving its runway music a second life. This time, the score steps off the Pavillon Cambon floor, where it premiered last January against a strobing LED wall and a line-up of tech-leaning tailoring and performance gear, and into the hands of vinyl collectors.

Solitary Dancer— the electronic duo that sound-tracked Y-3’s Spring/Summer 2025 runway return— describes Y-3002 as “an exploration of contrasts; light and dark, analog and digital, real and surreal.” The pair first surfaced in 2016 with a release on Midland’s Graded Records and has worked with Y-3 ever since.

For Yamamoto, who treats fabric as both armor and poetry, capturing the mood on vinyl locks the season’s atmosphere in a physical groove. And for listeners who missed the limited pressing, the digital files still offer a direct line to that January morning in Paris.
