Fresh off their dynamic partnership for Acne StudiosSS25 womenswear show, the Swedish label and Philadelphia-based artist Jonathan Lyndon Chase reunite for Frieze New York 2025, presenting an exclusive exhibition and capsule collection. Transforming Acne’s Greene Street boutique from May 7 through May 11, the immersive installation juxtaposes the familiarity of domestic spaces with Chase’s vivid portrayals of Black subjectivity and queer intimacy. Expect to encounter everything from playful sculptural riffs on lamps and radios to paintings infused with tender depictions of everyday life.

Anchoring the showcase is the release of a limited-edition capsule, titled “Acne Studios Loves Jonathan Lyndon Chase,” blending the artist’s illustrations, often depicting close friends and lovers, with Acne’s sartorial staples. The collection reimagines the brand’s iconic “1981” jeans and soft T-shirts, and extends Chase’s vibrant visuals to a range of home goods, including plush blankets and cozy cushions. Denim naturally takes center stage as both a tactile illusion and a tribute to Acne Studios’ heritage.

Available exclusively at the Greene Street store during the exhibition’s run, the collection hits global Acne Studios boutiques and their website later in June. In merging art with fashion, Acne Studios and Chase present not just clothing or decor but a poignant exploration of personal identity wrapped in modern cool, a partnership made for New York’s discerning downtown crowd.
