Chet Lo, the London-based talent known for spiked knitwear that’s caught the eye of stars like Doja Cat and Kylie Jenner, has a new venture on his hands—and it’s not on the runway. In a partnership with Rankin Editions, led by designer Amber Rankin, Lo is taking that signature edge and turning it into furniture.
Lo’s pieces for Rankin Editions—a sofa, chair, and pillows—deliver a jolt to any interior. “We wanted these pieces to not only occupy a space, but to reconfigure it,” Lo says. “The spikes speak of strength, of individuality. The Rankin shapes bring that touch of modernity that elevates everything to a new level. Together, these pieces challenge the way we understand furniture.”
That notion of “reconfiguring” is apparent in every detail. Each piece carries Lo’s famed textures, this time adapted for sofas and cushions rather than garments. Sinuous lines borrowed from previous Rankin Editions silhouettes meet Lo’s visual signatures in a balance of sleek forms and pointed knit surfaces. The chair feels compact but direct, punctuated by spiky accents that catch the light. The sofa has a bold look that draws the eye the second you step into the room.
The collaboration also includes pillows in shades of red, navy blue, and white—handmade in the UK to underscore that one-of-a-kind appeal. Each pillow comes with a certificate of authenticity, nodding to the brand’s focus on artisanal craft. Amber Rankin sums it up: “This collaboration is not just about furniture; it’s about storytelling through design. Chet’s picks are bold, powerful, unapologetic. They add a tension that elevates our forms, creating something truly unique.”
Fresh off his explosive presence in the fashion world—Lo graduated from Central Saint Martins and launched his own line in 2020—this new direction feels like a natural extension of his fearless style. It’s not just about adding a piece of furniture to your home; it’s about making a statement that breaks away from the usual. Or, as Lo puts it, “The spikes speak of strength, of individuality.”
