LG is turning heads ahead of CES 2025 with a fresh spin on home entertainment that merges projection, sound, and lighting in one streamlined device. Dubbed the PF600U, it’s a clever trifecta designed for living spaces that crave flexible design and multifunctional use. Whether you’re setting up a cinematic watch party or creating a chill lounge vibe, this sleek piece checks the boxes without screaming for attention.
Crafted to evoke the ease of a traditional floor lamp, the PF600U stands on a singular, minimal leg that supports its circular core. At first glance, it looks like it could be your go-to reading light, but it also houses a high-definition projector with FHD resolution, 300 ANSI lumens, and OTT streaming via LG webOS. There’s more: the built-in Bluetooth speaker packs solid sound with help from passive radiators, so you can queue up playlists without fuss. As for mood lighting, there are nine color options and five brightness levels, plus a head that tilts 110 degrees, opening the door to your personal disco or a low-lit reading nook.
Alongside this concept model, LG unveiled the CineBeam S. It doesn’t include the speaker or lighting elements, but it does carry 4K UHD resolution and 500 ANSI lumens for a crisp image, all while casting up to a 100-inch display from just inches away. It’s the brand’s smallest 4K ultra-short throw projector to date, following LG’s recent focus on design-first gadgets. (Earlier, the company found success with the StanbyME portable screen, which rolled into living rooms everywhere for its flexible approach to home viewing.)
Both the PF600U and the CineBeam S will be showcased at CES 2025 in Las Vegas next week. They’re technically still prototypes, but LG has a track record of turning ambitious concepts into full-fledged products. Keep an eye out—what starts as an idea here often ends up in living rooms worldwide soon after.
