Miu Miu marks 2025 with a campaign that bridges old-world portrait style and a modern attitude. Gigi Hadid fronts the new leather lineup, showcasing the house’s signature matelassé reworked in a velvety suede finish. Steven Meisel’s lens adds an almost painterly flourish, layering hand-applied color over each shot.
Instead of referencing one artist or another, the images distill a broader idea of creativity—glimpses of brushwork meet a digital edge, blending past and present into something alive and current. It’s more of an atmosphere than a direct homage, a nod to classic portraiture without leaning into nostalgia.

Gigi appears against striking panes of color, while two new bags—the Wander and Arcadie—take on a tactile softness at the center of the still-life vignettes. A subtle motion piece adds a third angle, capturing the process behind these “painted” photos and the candid musings swirling through the set. It’s fashion as art, but not in a contrived way—just a sharp, clear vision of what tomorrow looks like.
