The Oxford Street retailer opens an F1 pop-up on 23 June, mixing vintage jackets with new 75th-anniversary gear.

Selfridges is swapping ready-to-wear for racing stripes later this month, turning the Corner Shop at its Oxford Street flagship into “F1 75 Years in Motion,” a multi-sensory salute to motorsport’s most glamorous championship. Opening 23 June, the pop-up traces Formula 1’s 75-year timeline through vintage apparel, coveted memorabilia, art and photography that underline how the grid has influenced popular culture.
Collectors will find pieces that rarely surface outside specialist auctions. A Benetton × Autopolis jacket from the early 1990s conjures the team’s colour-blocked heyday, while a Ferrari × Magnetti Marelli racing jacket—hard to source after Maranello curtailed reissues—anchors a selection of race-worn trophies and period posters. Alongside the archive material, Selfridges will stock new F1 75 merchandise designed for the anniversary, positioning the store as both museum and boutique for the summer stretch.
“For us, 75 Years in Motion is a curated celebration of Formula 1’s 75-year legacy—brought to life through vintage pieces, memorabilia, merchandise, art and collectables from across the sport’s history,” said Emily Prazer, Formula 1’s chief commercial officer, in a statement. “Fashion has played an integral role in the F1 story over the years, and so launching this exciting first together with Selfridges, a brand with iconic British heritage, felt a natural fit. This is more than just a celebration of the sport, but recognition of its cultural significance, where vintage and modern meet to encapsulate our rich, and stylish, story.”
With its blend of hard-to-find jackets and freshly minted anniversary gear, the Corner Shop promises to pull both long-time fans and casual shoppers onto the pit wall—no paddock pass required.
