Gucci Honored at British Fashion Awards for ‘We Will Always Have London’ Campaign
Gucci‘s love affair with London took center stage at the British Fashion Awards 2024, as the brand received a Special Recognition Award for its ‘We Will Always Have London’ campaign. The accolade, presented at the Royal Albert Hall on December 2, acknowledges the House’s long-standing relationship with British creativity and its cultural influence.
The campaign, shaped by Creative Director Sabato De Sarno and brought to life through the lens of Nan Goldin, encapsulates London’s pulse. Featuring Debbie Harry and Kelsey Lu, it celebrates the raw energy of a city that has always been integral to Gucci’s narrative. This past year, Gucci doubled down on its connection to London, hosting the Cruise 2025 show at the Tate Modern—a fitting tribute to a city that has served as a creative muse for the brand for over a century.
At the awards, the buzz continued with Nan Goldin and Kelsey Lu stepping on stage to accept the honor, handed over by Chioma Nnadi of British Vogue. Debbie Harry delivered a nostalgic moment for the audience, performing her classic “Heart of Glass” in a dazzling custom Gucci look.
Joining Sabato De Sarno in the celebrations were familiar faces—Olivia Dean, Yanan Wan, Sabine Getty, Debbie Harry, Nan Goldin, Kelsey Lu, Pixie Geldof, George Barnett, Chioma Nnadi, and Benoît Delhomme—all adorned in pieces from Gucci’s collections, effortlessly blending high fashion with London’s inimitable vibe.
