Two decades after Takashi Murakami’s first splash at Louis Vuitton, the artist’s signature Cherry Blossom motif is making a return—this time with a fresh, 2025 spin. Arriving in March, Louis Vuitton x Murakami – Chapter Two taps into nostalgia while celebrating Japan’s cherry blossom season, reimagining the motif across more than 40 pieces spanning leather goods, accessories, footwear, and even a made-to-order wardrobe trunk.
The collection revives Murakami’s playful pink florals, digitally printed onto classic Monogram canvas bags like the OnTheGo, Papillon, Boulogne, and Speedy 25, as well as a lineup of travel essentials, including the Rolling Trunk, Keepall 45, and Courrier Lozine 110 Fleurs, the latter featuring raised Cherry Blossom patches. The motif finds its way onto Nano Bucket bags and Zippy wallets, while full-blown pink takes over the Marellini, Alma BB, and a trio of Capucines bags—each dipped in a bold, glossy shade dubbed “cheeky pink.”
Beyond leather goods, the motif lands on silk carrés, sneakers, and platform sandals, extending its reach to beauty: Spell on You perfume is wrapped in florals, appearing on its bottle, packaging, and even a glass-domed flacon.
Murakami’s world has always been about joy and color, and in its latest iteration at Louis Vuitton, the Cherry Blossom print does what it has always done best—inject optimism into the everyday.
