Formula 1’s 75th anniversary kicks off in London on February 18, 2025, and with it comes a new entry in Louis Vuitton’s long history of transporting greatness. The House has designed a special-edition FIA Formula One World Championship™ Trophy Trunk, which will make its official debut at F1 75, an event at The O2 where all ten teams, their drivers, and team principals gather to reveal their 2025 liveries. It’s a first-of-its-kind moment for the sport—and a perfect stage for Vuitton to showcase its latest custom creation.

For over a century, Louis Vuitton has been making trunks built to carry the world’s most coveted prizes, from the FIFA World Cup to the NBA Championship Trophy. This latest piece follows suit, crafted at the House’s storied Asnières atelier, just outside Paris. The exterior features Vuitton’s signature brass corners and leather trim, while the inside is lined in black microfiber to protect the trophy. And in a nod to both speed and heritage, its front panels are painted with a bold black-and-white “V” for Vuitton and victory, mirroring Formula 1’s iconic checkered flag.

Vuitton’s connection to motorsport runs deep—dating back to the late 19th century when Georges Vuitton created the first automotive trunks for a world on the move. More recently, the brand designed trophy trunks for the Monaco Grand Prix, solidifying its place on the grid. Now, with Formula 1 drawing a global audience in the hundreds of millions, this partnership is another lap in an ever-growing race.

The F1 75 event will stream live across Formula 1’s social platforms tonight, but one thing is already certain: when the championship trophy is awarded at the end of the season, it will be carried in a trunk built to stand the test of time. Because, as Louis Vuitton reminds us, Victory Travels in Vuitton.
