Zara marks 50 years in business by gathering Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Twiggy, Christy Turlington, Eva Herzigova, Paulina Porizkova, Penelope Tree and 43 more era-defining faces for a portrait series shot by Steven Meisel. A campaign video sets the tempo: the cast sways and lip-syncs to Donna Summer’s 1977 disco anthem “I Feel Love,” turning the studio floor into a brief, glitter-free dance hall.
Karl Templer’s styling keeps every look on a single track—black-and-white tuxedo codes that have threaded through menswear and womenswear for generations. The monochrome theme anchors Zara’s anniversary drop, a capsule that treats tailoring as common ground rather than costume.
Beyond the suiting, the range leans on wardrobe permanence: silk skirts cut without flourish, narrow trousers, roll-necks and boxy blazers. A commemorative T-shirt printed with Meisel’s group shot headlines the memorabilia, joined by postcard sets and other keepsakes that nod to the label’s photo-studio roots.
Zara’s quiet confidence in logo-free design echoes its founding ethos. Amancio Ortega opened the first store in Galicia on 9 May 1975; the brand’s London arrival in 1998 signalled a global run that now spans 5,815 stores across 98 countries, with online orders dispatched to 214 markets.
