Patrick McDowell has received the Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design, joining Richard Quinn, Priya Ahluwalia and S.S. Daley on its roll-call of previous winners.

The designer founded the London label in 2018 after graduating from Central Saint Martins and has kept production small and local ever since.

McDowell’s collections are limited-edition and made-to-order, cut from planet-minded fabrics that balance precise tailoring with sweeping volume and flashes of whimsy.

Created in 2018, the Queen Elizabeth II Award honours designers whose work advances sustainability and community engagement—an ethos woven into every piece that leaves McDowell’s studio.
