Bulgari and MB&F are teamed up once more, this time breathing new life into Bulgari’s famous snake emblem. Their new wristwatch channels the Italian house’s flair for jewelry and MB&F’s knack for inventive engineering. It follows the brands’ first encounter in 2021, when they merged haute horology with precious gem design, and now they’re doubling down on that shared momentum.
This latest piece reimagines Bulgari’s signature serpent shape through MB&F’s lens. It took countless sketches and prototypes to perfect the curves and angles, a process that pushed the boundaries of traditional watchmaking. Five separate sapphire elements encase the dial—two of which serve as the serpent’s eyes—coated inside and out for optical clarity. Housed within is MB&F’s in-house mechanism, featuring distinct hour and minute domes, a prominent 14mm balance wheel, and enough power to keep running for close to two days.
Three versions will be released in limited runs of 33 each: a titanium model with cool-toned indicators, a rose gold take with a flash of green, and a black PVD steel option that packs a bold red accent. MB&F, helmed by founder Maximilian Büsser, recently caught attention when they clinched the industry’s top honor—the Aiguille d’Or—at the 2022 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève, underscoring their unconventional approach. Bulgari, equally recognized for pushing boundaries in watchmaking and jewelry alike, continues its legacy with this sleek, meticulously crafted serpent that fuses art and mechanics.
