Tick Tock, Green Shock: The URWERK You Can’t Resist

URWERK is stepping into the spotlight again with a fresh take on its UR-100V Magic T. This new version channels a distinctive hunter-green dial that subtly shifts from a steely hue to an earthy tone under changing light. “We worked on this metallic ash green with the same devotion as an antique patina, endowing the timepiece with an aura that is both industrial and organic,” says Felix Baumgartner, master watchmaker and co-founder of the Geneva-based label.

It echoes the UR-100V Magic T released last year but carves out its own identity with that ever-changing dial. Beneath the surface, the UR 12.02 self-winding movement beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour, secured by 40 jewels, and offers a 48-hour power reserve under the direction of its Windfänger airscrew. Staying true to URWERK’s style, the timepiece showcases satellite hours and minutes, plus an unconventional system that tracks orbital and rotational distances.

“The UR-100V is like a blank canvas providing scope for infinite exploration,” adds co-founder and artistic director Martin Frei, describing the new color choice as “a living, breathing color that interacts with light and time.” This latest iteration embraces a titanium case with a sanded and shot-blasted finish, paired with a matching integrated bracelet.

As with many of URWERK’s creations, production is limited—only 35 pieces are on offer, priced at 58,000 CHF (about $64,010 USD). It’s a statement in metallic minimalism, ready for those who appreciate the brand’s mix of precision engineering and visionary aesthetics.
