This 26-year-old hardly needs an introduction. Born in Seoul, the South Korean model dominated the catwalks last year, and having appeared in every major magazine from ELLE and W Magazine, to Dazed & Confused to Vogue, the fashion spotlight has certainly has its’ focus on Soo Joo Park. Adamant not to be typecast as an Asian model, Park’s refreshing aesthetic – bleach blonde hair contrasted with her dark brows – has made her the subject of several street style blogs. With an opening slot at Just Cavalli, and having caught the eye of Carine Roitfeld – and being featured in her CR Book – the model has proven to be a favourite of industry influencers. Counting both Tom Ford and Karl Lagerfeld as supporters after slots in both their shows in A/W13, Soo Joo confirmed her big league status when Peter Lindbergh photographed her alongside Aymeline Valade, Catherine McNeil, Sasha Luss, and Daphne Groeneveld for the cover of Numéro magazine, in an editorial called ‘The Famous Five’.
