Acne Studios is unveiling a fresh set of 22 pieces with Italian label Kappa for Spring/Summer 2025, combining leisurely denim, athletic silhouettes, and attention-grabbing accessories. This lineup takes cues from retro football outfits and blurs boundaries between sporty function and refined style. There’s a punchy football jersey in signature pink with flame graphics, along with denim and track pants trimmed with Kappa’s iconic tape. A second-skin top calls to mind the technical layers worn on the field, while the Bowlina bag, first spotted on Acne Studios’ SS25 runway, gets a bold rework. The capsule also includes a baseball cap, sneakers, and knee-high socks that capture both brands’ flair for design rooted in performance and subculture.
“I have always loved Kappa. Rebels wear Kappa, which appeals to me – it’s sportswear for the cool kids. In a world where the lines between classic workwear, streetwear, ready-to-wear and sportswear are blurred, it feels totally natural for Acne Studios to collaborate with Kappa on a collection that represents a modern way of dressing,” says Jonny Johansson, Creative Director of Acne Studios.

The brand has long toyed with athletic references, and this drop underscores that fascination by channeling nostalgic soccer motifs and merging them with Acne Studios’ offbeat approach. The campaign stars the legendary British producer and musician Tricky, whose presence brings a ’90s spirit to the images shot by photographer Jordan Hemingway and styled by Léopold Duchemin. “Tricky’s music has had a real impact on my life. I’ve been a fan for a long time, and it just made sense to work with him for this project” says Johansson.
“Great people – really fun day – I usually get nervous in a room full of people I don’t know – but they made it feel like family,” Tricky adds, praising the camaraderie on set.

The Acne Studios x Kappa collection will land on acnestudios.com from 27 March and will hit Acne Studios stores worldwide starting 3 April.
