Charlize Theron steps into a fresh role at Dior: the Oscar winner now headlines the house’s first high-jewelry campaign. The images, shot by Mario Sorrenti and set to run in May, mark a new chapter for Dior Joaillerie, which until now had never put a single face to its most exclusive creations.

Since 1999 Victoire de Castellane has shaped Dior’s jewelry identity with flights of imagination that balance technique with whimsy. Her latest collections provide the backdrop for Theron’s appearance, and the pieces are anything but quiet.

In one frame the actor wears Milly Dentelle Couture Fleurie, a necklace that rests against the skin like fine lace. Rose-gold links hold marquise- and pear-cut diamonds, crowned by an eight-carat cushion-cut Fancy Vivid Yellow stone, while smaller yellow diamonds scatter through the mesh.

A second portrait switches tone to winter cool. The Forêt Glacée Bleu set, part of the 2024 Diorama collection, translates the house’s toile de Jouy into platinum and rose gold dotted with blue sapphires. Foxes run through gem-set branches; an eleven-carat oval-cut sapphire from Madagascar anchors the necklace, with lacquer accents adding shadow.

Theron is hardly a newcomer to the Dior family. Two decades fronting J’Adore made her synonymous with the fragrance, and in January she became the face of the updated Capture skin-care line. The high-jewelry appointment extends the partnership into rarefied territory.

The campaign will appear across Dior’s site, social channels, and global print and digital placements throughout May.
