Dior is unveiling the campaign for the Dior Spring Summer 2022 ready-to-wear collection, through which Maria Grazia Chiuri explores and celebrates Anna Paparatti’s pop universe, where games – as evidenced in her works Il Gioco del Nonsense (1964) and Jeu de l’absurde (1965) – become the starting point for a reflection on the role of playfulness in the necessary construction of the self.
Through Brigitte Niedermair’s lens, the models embody the creations’ modern, bewitching spirit, while house icons – such as the Dior vibe pieces and the lady Dior bag in a micro version – join in to establish a unique aesthetic dialogue. The stills’ subtly abstract geometry invents new graphic perspectives that highlight Dior fundamentals, such as cannage and marc bohan’s slim look, or the d-jungle pop motif, created as the emblem of the season. An ultimate detail – the Miss Dior glasses – complete these fascinating silhouettes with their fifties allure.
