Louis Vuitton La Beauté is merging the creative processes of artistic director Nicolas Ghesquière and creative director of cosmetics Pat McGrath. Engineered to mark the 130th anniversary of the house's signature monogram, the limited-edition makeup collection launched August 20th. The release splits the visual architecture into two distinct capsule collections, Monogram Dune and Monogram Infrarouge.

Establishing a cohesive cosmetic format, each capsule yields a four-pan eyeshadow palette, a satin-finish lipstick, and a high-shine topper lip balm. The Monogram Dune configuration utilizes a warm color profile, anchoring beige, gold, and dusty pink powders alongside a soft nude lip bullet. Reversing the thermal balance, the Monogram Infrarouge lineup descends into a cooler, high-contrast spectrum. The secondary palette integrates charcoal and plum eyeshadow tones, pairing the deep pigments with a burgundy lipstick.

That dual-palette format stems from years of backstage development. Bypassing traditional creative briefs, McGrath and Ghesquière build the cosmetic architecture through an established shorthand, positioning the formulas as a direct evolution of their runway partnership. Instead of standard corporate directives, the makeup relies on the existing synergy between the two creative leads, merging high-fashion visual codes with precise cosmetic chemistry.
