A gala evening marked by artistic honors, impeccable fashion, and a memorable musical interlude.

The Brooklyn Museum’s 2025 Artists Ball unfolded as a vibrant celebration of art, fashion, and community. Dior, the event’s sponsor, infused the evening with its signature elegance, dressing attendees in couture that seamlessly blended with the museum’s artistic ambiance. The gala honored Darren Walker, president of the Ford Foundation, recognizing his unwavering support for the arts and social justice initiatives.

The evening commenced with a cocktail hour beneath towering KAWS sculptures, setting a tone of contemporary artistry. Guests then proceeded to a dinner in the Beaux-Arts Court, transformed by artist Jeffrey Gibson’s rainbow-hued installations, creating an immersive dining experience. The culinary offerings were complemented by conversations that spanned topics from current exhibitions to the evolving landscape of cultural institutions.

A highlight of the night was a performance by Icelandic singer-songwriter Laufey, who graced the stage in a custom Dior ensemble. Her attire, a white coat dress from Dior’s Spring-Summer 2025 Haute Couture collection by Maria Grazia Chiuri, exemplified the meticulous craftsmanship synonymous with the fashion house. Laufey’s performance added a melodic layer to the evening, resonating with the event’s artistic spirit.

The gala drew a constellation of Dior-clad celebrities, including Kerry Washington, Alexandra Daddario, Auli’i Cravalho, Emma Roberts, Zazie Beetz, and Keri Russell, each embodying the fusion of fashion and art. The after-party, energized by a DJ set from Swizz Beatz, extended the night’s festivities, encapsulating the dynamic intersection of creativity and celebration that defines the Brooklyn Artists Ball.
