In a full-circle collaboration with Sephora, the celebrity makeup artist will teach sold-out crowds how to master his famed techniques.

Celebrity makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic is marking his 25th year in the beauty industry with an exclusive Sephora x Makeup by Mario masterclass tour. Announced today, the international “Beyond the Artistry” campaign will bring Dedivanovic’s expertise directly to beauty enthusiasts through a series of in-person masterclasses across Europe and the United States.
The tour kicks off on May 21 in Hamburg, Germany, timed with the grand opening of a new Sephora store. Next, Dedivanovic will appear in London on June 9, before a final U.S. masterclass slated for September. Branded as Beyond the Artistry, each session will be held live and in-person, offering attendees a rare chance to watch the Makeup by Mario founder demonstrate his signature techniques up close. According to Sephora, each masterclass will build upon the last, diving deeper into Dedivanovic’s personal journey, professional techniques and vision for the future of beauty.
This collaboration doubles as a personal milestone for Dedivanovic. Twenty-five years ago, he was a teenage fragrance consultant at Sephora’s Flatiron store in New York – one of the original hires for Sephora’s first U.S. team. He went on to become one of the world’s most influential makeup artists (famously the man behind Kim Kardashian’s makeup looks) and in 2020 launched his own cosmetics line, Makeup by Mario, now a top-selling brand at Sephora. Dedivanovic has often credited Sephora as instrumental in his rise, and this partnership sees him return to his roots as an honorary Sephora Beauty Advisor sharing hard-won tips with a new generation of artists and fans.
For Sephora, teaming up with Dedivanovic is the latest move to bolster its insider community and experiential offerings. The retailer will co-create exclusive content and tutorials with the artist as part of this partnership, reinforcing its reputation as a hub for beauty education and trends.
